Jazmin Marie Saunders is a painter based in Atlanta, GA, currently pursuing a Painting MFA at the Savannah College of Art and Design. Her work draws from the increasingly claustrophobic hyperreality of the digital age, where self-commodification and the ability to construct any image we desire blur the lines between real and unreal. Her paintings depict figures who never existed, digitally inspired and emotionally distant, yet uncomfortably close and aware of the viewer. Through closely cropped compositions, blurred details, and layered detachment, Jazmin explores how our contemporary world reshapes our perceptions of beauty, identity, and the authenticity of our experiences.
